The Inner Compass: A Learning Circle for Self-reflection and Purpose
Saturday 2 August · 10am–1pm · Fellside Centre, Kendal
Includes tea, coffee, cake & soulful company
What really matters to you, and how do you stay true to it?
The Inner Compass is a learning circle for adults who want to explore life’s deeper questions in a relaxed, thoughtful space.
Blending gentle philosophy, meaningful psychology, journaling and reflection, we invite you to tune into your own values, voice and sense of purpose.
Whether you’re navigating change, craving connection, or simply curious, this is a space to return to yourself and realign with what matters most.
Who Is It For?
Open to adults of all ages and life stages, midlife and beyond, seekers, questioners, the quietly wise, the soulfully curious.
You don’t need any background in philosophy or psychology. Just bring your open mind, your lived experience, and your willingness to learn in community.
What we will cover
-
Theories of Human Motivation (Deci & Ryan, and an invite to create our own!)
-
Ikigai (Japanese model of purpose)
-
Your Soul's Purpose (Kirsty Gallagher; Mandy Morris)
-
Optional art, sketching, painting and singing!
We begin by exploring what drives you from within — your sense of purpose, motivation, and personal values. Self-Determination Theory helps us understand our deep human needs for autonomy, connection, and mastery, while the Ikigai model invites reflection on what brings meaning and vitality to your life.
